Cliff Carver, 77, of Independence, MO passed away on Tuesday, February 13, at the Rosewood Health Center at The Groves. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, at the Buckner Restoration Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ, 2607 N. Twyman Rd., Independence, MO 64058. Flowers are welcome, or contributions may be made to Buckner Restoration Branch Church, or the Kansas City Cancer Center, 4881 NE Goodview Cr., LSMO 64064. Cliff was born on October 6, 1929 in Kansas City, MO. He attended Graceland College and KU, graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduating, he served in the U.S. Army. He began his career as a chemical engineer with Amoco Refinery in Sugar Creek, MO, retiring at the age of 55. His love of photography led him to opening his own photography studio and was a member of the Professional Photographic Association. He also served as an Elder in the church for many years. Cliff is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joyce I. Carver; four children, Michael Carver and wife Pat, Teri Carver, Delaine Leggett, and Randy Carver; brother, Robert Carver and wife Donna; sister-in-law, Guin Simmons; 7 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
