Juanita A. Casey, 94, Independence, Mo. died July 30, 2004. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 am, Wed., Aug. 4 at St. Ann�s Church; interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 - 8 pm, Tuesday at George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:30. Juanita was born Jan. 24, 1910 in Indep., Mo. She was a mother and homemaker who was also very active in community clubs. She was a member of St Ann�s Parish since 1936 and served on the Altar and Rosary Society, was a founding member of P.T.A, member of the Heritage Club at Sermon Center, the Indep. Golden Age Kitchen Band, board member of the Shepherd Center as well as many other clubs and organizations. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Earl E. Casey in 1980, her parents Thomas Rodgers and Mary Ethel (Rice) Rodgers and three brothers. She is survived by her children Betty J. Coen, Earl & Martha Casey, Pat & Mike Stefancik, all of Sugar Creek, MO; Michael & Charlene Casey, Indep., MO; Ethel & Steve Pender, Alberton, MT; Tom & Marcia Casey, El Dorado Springs, MO; Sue & Jack Watters, Klamath Falls, OR; Mary & Jim Weiss, Ft. Myers, FL; forty-five grandchildren, eighty-eight great-grandchildren, and forty-five great-great-grandchildren. Juanita was a widely-traveled person. Her greatest joy was a river bank, a rod & reel and a worm. The fish couldn�t resist her.
