Martha Casey

Martha Casey 83, of Sugar Creek, MO passed away at her home on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Visitation will be 9 am Thursday, November 2, 2017 at St. Cyril’s Catholic Church, 11231 Chicago St. Sugar Creek, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am at the church. Burial will take place in Mound Grove Cemetery. Martha was born on March 20, 1934 in Eldorado, KS to Malcolm and Ida (Hudson) Fye. She retired from the Social Security Office in 1999. Martha loved music, playing both the violin and piano. She enjoyed planting flowers, sewing, and dancing with her husband. She was quick to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh as well. The most important thing in Martha’s life was her family. As a member of St. Cyril’s for many years, she sang in the choir and served on the Altar Society. Survivors include; son Earl Casey Jr. and his wife Eileen; son John Casey; son Jeffrey Casey; daughter Stacey Steger and her husband Stephen; sister Betty Kirk; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a large extended family and many friends. Martha is preceded in death by her loving husband Earl Casey II, son Dennis Casey, parents, 4 sisters and 1 brother. Contributions may be made in Martha’s memory to St. Cyril’s or Catholic Charities.
