Madalyn was born on May 18, 1914 in Aspen Hill, Tennessee the eldest daughter of Noble and Laura (Bouldin) Small. She graduated from Northeast High School in Kansas City. In 1934 she married the late Jack K. Caskey, who preceded her in death in 1989.

She loved her family and spending time with them. She is survived by two sons, Joseph Caskey of Sibley, Mo. and David Caskey and wife Karen of Blue Springs, Mo., two sisters, Ruth Forbes of Independence and Sarah Cochran and husband Wally of Independence, a brother, Clemon Small and wife Pam of Knoxville, Tennessee, nine grandchildren, Cheryl, Leanne, Russell, Susan, Alex, Aletha, Dawn, Melissa and Sharon and 18 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
