Duane B. Casselman, 87, of Odessa, MO passed away peacefully on October 22, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Memorial services will be 4pm Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Duane was born on July 11, 1932 one of three children born of Bernard and Esther (Foisey) Casselman. After high school, he enjoyed a career in semi pro baseball playing on the farm team for the Boston Red Sox. After which, he was a sonar man in the US Coast Guard which is when he met and married his best friend and wife of 65 years. After discharge from the Coast Guard, he became a Jehovah’s Witness. For over 50 years he served as an Elder in various congregations. Duane was a faithful and loyal servant of Jehovah God and a devoted husband and father to his four children, as well as a friend of many. Duane liked to travel, go fishing, an occasional game of golf, playing the guitar, and singing country music. For many years Duane owned and operated Pioneer Electric and was a member of the IBEW. He was married to Eula Joyce (Carlisle) Casselman and of this union, four children were born: Eric, Kirk, Danielle and Clayt. Survivors include: wife Joyce Casselman; son Eric Casselman and his wife Lisa; daughter Danielle Cline and her husband Barry; son Clayt Casselman and his wife Tania; grandchildren Kasey Casselman, Stasia McGeeney, Kirk Casselman, Summar Gehrke and Michael Casselman; sister Lynda Conway; five great grandchildren; extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Duane’s memory.
