Carol Lynne (Post) Cassidy, 57, of Independence, MO, passed away December 28, 2013 at her home. A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Thurs., Jan. 2nd at Speaks Suburban Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the chapel. Carol was born July 23, 1956 in San Antonio, TX to Charles Aubrey and Hettie Mae (Humphreys) Post. After her mother’s passing she was raised by her father and beloved new parent, Teresa. Carol grew up in Seadrift, TX and lived most of her life in the Kansas City Area. Carol attended Texas A&M. She loved music, enjoyed movies, and was a huge advocate for her husband’s record company. She worked for many companies including Sprint, numerous computer companies, and recently, for years, at Harte Hanks as a Call Center Supervisor. She brought joy to so many special people in her life, including the numerous pets she always treated with love and affection. She will be greatly missed by her family, her workmates and many close friends. Carol is survived by husband, Dennis Michael Cassidy of the home; parent, Teresa (Reisi Post) Petru of Seadrift, TX; brothers, David L. and Jeffery L. Post of San Antonio, TX; Alan L. Post of Victoria, TX and Marcus L. Post of Hockley, TX as well as five nephews; one niece; and one great-nephew. She was preceded in death by her biological parents; brothers, Charles Aubrey Post, Jr., and Richard Leslie Post. The family encourages contributions to Wayside Waifs in her memory.
