Eva Louise Casteel, 89, of Independence, MO, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2006 at the Medical Center of Independence. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Burial in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. Eva was born April 21, 1916 in Dove, MO to Henry E. and Ethel F. (Arnold) Martin. On June 22, 1933 Eva was united in Holy Matrimony to Jesse Casteel in Lexington, MO. From this union four children were born; Betty Louise, Helen Berniece, Lloyd Elvin and Jesse Lee. Mrs. Casteel lived in the Independence area for most of her life. Eva was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Casteel and her brother Lloyd Martin. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Moore of Tomball, TX, Helen Lester and husband Mearl of Independence, MO; two sons, Lloyd Casteel and wife Vera of Tiffin, MO, Jesse Casteel and wife Candy of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Martha (Mae) Plumlee of Lincoln, MO; two brothers, Lee Martin and wife Dorothy of Gladstone, MO, Johnny (Buck) Martin and wife Virginia of Warsaw, MO; fifteen grandchildren, six step grandchildren; thirty seven great-grandchildren. Eva loved, and was loved by all who knew her. She will be missed by all.
