Reverend Charles Lee Casteel, 86, of Independence, Missouri entered glory on Monday, January 27, 2020 in Lee Summit, Missouri, surrounded by his family. He was born May 5, 1933 in Annapolis, Missouri the son the late Archie and Idella Casteel. Reverend Casteel served in the United States Navy. He met the love of his life the late Melba Casteel and married in 1952. He began pastoring in St. Louis, Missouri at Revival Temple. He served God through ministering and pastoring across the United States for 60 years. He is survived by his daughter June Duncan (husband Wesley) of La Center, Washington, daughter Joni Cosgrove (husband Edward) of Kansas City, Missouri, son Reverend Timothy Casteel (wife Robin) of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and daughter Delinda Smith (husband Timothy) of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Isabella Casteel, five sisters, two brothers and a grandson Braxton Smith.
