Virginia V. Catron, 89, Independence, MO. passed away Monday, June 9, 2014.
Virginia was born May 27, 1925 in Eugene, MO the daughter of Richard and Barcie (Jones) Enloe. Virginia graduated from Jefferson City High School in Jefferson City, MO. She enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family. She moved to the Independence, MO area in the late 1970’s and was a member of the Sycamore Hills Baptist Church.
She married Leman T. Catron, he preceded her in death in 2002. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Carolyn Jane Barkey in 2005; two sisters; two half brothers; and son in law, Dan Barkey.
Survivors include her daughters, Judy A. Barkey, Patty J. Patton and her husband Lawrence; grandchildren, Jason E. Patton and his fiancé Sara Luttrell, and Suzann L. Schaffer and husband Russell; two great grandchildren; and additional nieces, nephews and family.
Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens, Jefferson City, MO.
