Robert Thomas "Bob" Cavanaugh Sr.

Robert Thomas “Bob” Cavanaugh, Sr., of Buckner, MO passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. He was 77. A visitation will take place from 1-2pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 with a service following at 2pm, both at Speaks Buckner Chapel, 300 Adams; Buckner, MO 64016. Interment will follow at Buckner Hill Cemetery.

Bob was born on March 14, 1944 in Kansas City, MO to John Jr. and Eileen (Meiners) Cavanaugh. He graduated from Westport High School in 1962. Bob went on to have a successful career with Yellow Freight Trucking Company. He loved riding his Harley and country music, but most of all, he loved his family. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Myra; and his son, Jeffery. He is survived by his children, Robert T. Cavanaugh, Jr., Michael “Andy” Cavanaugh, Robin “Nici” Hulett and her husband Zach, Beth Wilson, Cara Sharp, and Ricky Austin; 17 adored grandchildren; 3 brothers, Mike Cavanaugh and his wife, Barb, Johnny, Jr. Cavanaugh and his wife, Judy, Dennis Cavanaugh; and 1 sister, Kathy Chiles.
