Leslie Nicolle "Nikie" Champ (True)

Leslie Nicolle “Nikie” Champ, 35, of Independence, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Nikie was born to John True and Sharon Roberts on December 24, 1985 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Nikie loved life and loved people. She will always be remembered for her kind spirit. As a child Nikie liked to be outdoors and would spend lots of time on four wheelers and getting dirty. As she got older Nikie enjoyed shopping, reading fictional novels, true crime tv shows, Mexican food and spending time with her beloved god daughter, Rosemary. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Nikie is survived by her husband, Charles “Nathan” Champ; step-children, Alexis and Lucas Champ; parents, John True and Sharon Roberts; and god daughter, Rosemary Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffery True.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, December 13th from 1-3pm at Speaks Suburban Chapel in Independence, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kansas City Zoo otter exhibit.
