Raymond Kane Chapin, 61, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away on November 22, 2018.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 28th at First Baptist Church of Lee’s Summit. The funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, November 29th at First Baptist Church of Lee’s Summit. Burial will follow the funeral at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens in Independence, Missouri.
Raymond was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 29, 1957. He was married to Donna Jones on November 28th, 1976; they were married 42 years.
Raymond worked as an electrical designer for 43 years. He enjoyed his grandchildren, camping, riding motorcycles and construction projects. He was an active member at First Baptist Church Lee’s Summit serving as a deacon, teacher and mission worker.
Raymond is survived by his spouse, Donna Jean Chapin of the home, children, Spencer (spouse Elizabeth), Moree’ (fiancé’ Gabe Lambeth), Grant (spouse Katie), nine grandchildren (Jet, Windsor, Oliver, Remington, Lena, Imogen, Griffin, Darcie and Harlow), his mother; Theresa Chapin, siblings; Linda Howe, Laura Vandyke, Nathan Chapin, Alan Chapin and their spouses plus many nieces and nephews.
Raymond is preceded in death by his Father, Robert Chapin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to First Baptist Church of Lee’s Summit Missions, 2 NE Douglas St.; Lee’s Summit, MO 64063. The family of Raymond Kane Chapin is very thankful for all the countless prayers and support.
