Charles Edward Angell II, 66, of Independence, MO, passed away in his home on July 31, 2023. He was born on May 24, 1957, to Charles Edward Angell and Mary Agnes (Lynn) Angell. Charles went on to work for Yellow Freight for 40 years as a forklift driver. He was an avid fisherman; he enjoyed his time being out on the lake. He was very generous when it came to fishing and when he had a very successful day, he would give away some fish to other people out there trying to catch a bite. Charles loved to bowl and was very skilled at it. He bowled 13 games with a 300 score, even having a back-to-back perfect score night on Halloween. Charles also was a very talented golfer; he was all around very athletic and in high school played on the football team at Ft Osage. Charles was a very deep, spiritual person and he found his church outside, spending time in nature.
Charles is survived by his sister Mary Kathleen (Dr. Howard) Curry, brother Gerald Joseph Angell, nieces; Adrianne Salyer, Angela Berry, Amber Hinton, Carrie Berry, and Mary Barber, a daughter Jessica, as well as many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary Agnes Angell.
A graveside service for Charles will be held on Wednesday August 9, 2023, at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens in Independence, MO at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Charles’ name.
