Charles Merle Wright Sr.

Charles Merle Wright Sr. passed away peacefully on September 9, 2024 in Henderson, Nevada with his family by his side. Charles was born to Arthur and Evelina (Carey) Wright on February 6, 1935 in DeKalb County, Missouri.

Charles graduated from East High School in Kansas City, Missouri. He married Roberta Wright on February 6, 1954 and spent the next 63 years creating memories together. To that union came two children, Charles and Tammy. During that time he began his career with General Electric and dedicated over 30 years as a motor winder before retiring in 1993.

Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He was also an active member within Blue Springs Christian church and spent countless hours volunteering his time to help with the construction of the building. Charles was selfless and kind and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his son, Charles Wright Jr. (Karen); 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 3 grand dogs.

Charles is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Roberta; his parents; and his daughter, Tammy Daily.

A private family graveside service will be held at Woodlawn cemetery.
