Robert L. Childs

Robert L. Childs, 82 of Kansas City, MO passed away, Sat. Jan 24, 2004 at the Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be 2:00 pm, Wed, Jan 28, 2004 at the Speaks Midtown Chapel, 1101 W. Walnut, Indep. MO. Burial in Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Mr. Childs was born on Dec. 27, 1921 to David and Ethel Childs in Hunter, MO and had lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. He had been a Stationary Engineer for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 101. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the Moose Lodge and the Community of Christ Church. Mr. Childs is survived by a brother, Ralph H. Childs of Fort Pierce, FL. An aunt and uncle, Alice and Clifford Mathis of Lee�s Summit, MO. A cousin, Denise McEnaney and a second cousin, Kory McEnaney, Both of Lee�s Summit, MO and two nieces.
