Rose Chinnery (Frisbey), 79, of Independence, MO passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at her home. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A service will be held at 10am on Friday, June 9, 2017 at the chapel. Interment will follow at Mound Grove Cemetery.
Rose was born to Arthur and Velma (Andes) Frisbey. She married Robert Chinnery on March 19, 1957 and they were married for 52 years. They spent 34 of those years as foster parents, caring for special needs and medically fragile little ones. Later in life she was the oldest in her class when graduated from Independence Regional Hospital as an operating room technician. Rose also added a private pilot and commercial pilot license to her resume in her later years. She believed we are put here to do our best for our selves and others.
She lived a blessed, happy and full life being a wife and mother to 11 children: Sharon Baker, Charlene Bradley, James Chinnery, Ronald Chinnery, Roberta Chinnery, Jennifer Molder, Kerrie Poppa, Michael Chinnery, Tedi Ane Chinnery, Catie Adeo Chinnery and Tiff Anie. She is also survived by her siblings Sharon Allison, Kenneth Frisbey and Dennis Frisbey; 20 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Roger W. Frisbey, her beloved husband Robert, and infant grandson Dracen Raymond. Rose will be remembered as a loving and forgiving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
