Stanley Duane Choate

September 17, 1941 — April 2, 2021

Stanley Duane Choate, a man of God, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, April 2, 2021. He was 79. Stan was born to Edward and Enid Choate on September 17, 1941 in Orofino, Idaho.
He was a busy man. Stan had numerous careers throughout his lifetime which included farming, logging, truck driving and teaching. The career he was most proud of though was his 22 years spent in the United States Air Force. When Stan wasn’t working, he enjoyed traveling the world. He’s visited many states and countries and enjoyed trying the food at every single one. Stan liked to fish. He’d go camping and catch Trout or Bass along the way. He was also passionate about his garden and enjoyed listening to Bluegrass and Gospel music often. Later in life Stanley volunteered much of his time at First Baptist Church of Buckner. Stan was a kind man and will be greatly missed.
He’s survived by his beloved wife, Shirley; daughter, Cindee Williams (Verlin); granddaughter Courtnee; daughter’s, Sherri Tom (Randy) and Christa Snyder; stepson, Larry Smith (Cynthia); bonus son, Denver Stone and brother, Larry Choate.
Stan is preceded in death by his wive’s, Charlotte, Donna and Linda; and his sister Charlene Vern.
A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church of Buckner on Saturday, April 10th at 11:00am.
