Leonisa Chrisman (Aguilera)

Leonisa Chrisman, 77, of Independence, MO, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019. A visitation will be held from 5-7pm Tuesday, December 17, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St, Independence, MO 64055. Mass will be at 10am on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 600 N Liberty St, Independence, MO 64050. Burial to follow at Oak Ridge Memory Gardens in Independence, MO. Leonisa was born on February 4, 1942 to Apolonio and Maria (Dimandal) Aguilera in the Philippines. She attended school and graduated in the Philippines before moving to the United States. She married Frank Chrisman on May 2, 1983. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church for 36 years. Leonisa worked as an administrative assistant for over 5 years for the Division of Family Service. She enjoyed shopping and watching figure skating. She was always smiling, happy, polite and laughed a lot. Leonisa is survived by her 6 siblings, Loreto Manoza, Pilar Mendoza, Antonino Aguilera, Teodulo Aguilera, Marino Aguilera, and Filomena Catapang; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Frank Chrisman; and sister, Sevilla Olan.
