Dixie Lee Clark (Pyatt)

Dixie Lee Clark, 92, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Ignite, St. Mary’s in Blue Springs, MO. Dixie was born June 23, 1930 in Cortez, CO to William J. and Stella (Goode) Pyatt. Together, with her husband, they settled in Fullerton, California where they raised 4 wonderful children. Dixie was a beloved wife, mother, and homemaker, she also worked at Van De Camps as a part-time baker. While she enjoyed cooking and baking, her family enjoyed it more. She perfected the apple pie, peach cobbler and popcorn balls, but nothing topped her peanut brittle. Dixie was a devout Christian and had been a member of the Blue Springs Church of Christ since she and Harold moved to Blue Springs 25 years ago. She is survived by 4 children; Terri Snelson and husband Dennis of Blue Springs, MO, Bruce Clark and wife Bitty of Caldwell, ID, Nancy Totten and husband Gale of Carefree, AZ and Becky Black and husband Keith of Dana Point, CA; a sister, Donna Jackson of New Jersey; 7 grandchildren, Melissa, Chelley, Stephanie, Jake, Josh, Kate and Derek, numerous great grandchildren and a great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold in 2015 and 3 brothers: Raymond, Lawrence and Robert. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2022, at the Speaks Suburban Chapel: 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055 with burial to follow in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the chapel.
