Bettie Joe Clements (Adcock)

Bettie J. Clements, 88 of Independence, MO passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at Centerpoint Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052 with burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Thursday at the chapel. Bettie was born January 28, 1930 in Carrollton, MO to Charles and Nancy (Cooper) Adcock and moved to Independence, in 1951. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed her favorite TV shows, canning and was an avid reader. She was a member of the Blue Ridge Assembly of God. Survivors include; a son, Keith Clements and wife Linda of Independence, MO; 2 daughters, Connie Holt and husband Jeff of Lee’s Summit, MO and Nancy Clements of Independence, MO; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband John Clements in 2007 and 2 sons, John Clements, Jr in 2009 and Charles M. “Chuck” Clements in 2007.
