Florence was born Oct. 11, 1928 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. Her family moved to the Kansas City area when she was two years old. She and her husband farmed in Ray County also. She was a member of the RLDS church. She enjoyed quilting with her friends.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband Richard W. Closson, Sr. and son Richard Closson, Jr. She is survived by daughter Carolin Goold, Independence, MO; son David Closson and wife Marsha, Atlanta, GA; grandchildren John Goold, Independence, MO; Katherine Akers and husband Joshua, Detroit, MI and great-grandson Neil Akers.
