Sheryl Sue Cobb

Sheryl Sue Cobb was called home by the Lord on the morning of April 27th, 2022 at the age of 62. She is survived by her husband Les, her sons Ryan Cobb (Jenaye Aldridge) and Owen Cobb and granddaughter Harper Cobb (Ryan's daughter). She is also survived by her parents, Jack and Beth Tracy, sister Shelly Krysa (Frank), and brother Mike Tracy (Sarah). She was predeceased recently by her sister Kelly Downs. She has 2 brothers-in-law living, Jim Cobb (Rebecca) and Bill Downs.

Sheryl was born November 11, 1959 in Des Moines, IA and grew up in Independence, MO, graduating from Truman High School in 1978. Sheryl was a loving mother to her sons, an amazing wife, and a very proud grandma of her best friend and crafting partner, Harper.

Comments recently from friends and family rightly portray her zest for life and gift for listening to, counseling and loving others. Sheryl had the gift of encouragement. She expressed this love to her family and friends, her co-workers at Liberty Hospital and to crafty friends gathered around her kitchen table. Sheryl loved hearing and sharing stories, entertaining others and spreading laughter and kind words. Created in God's image, the portion she received was evident in her eyes, her smile and in her life.

A memorial service will be held on May 9th at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO 64055 Visitation starting 6pm and service following.
