Timothy Cobb

Timothy Joe Cobb, 54, passed away July 10, 2013 at Kansas City Hospice House surrounded by his family. Tim was born in Kansas City, MO the son of Billie Joe and Janis (Johnson) Cobb.
He was a graduate of Raytown High School (Class of 1978). He was an Eagle Scout from Boy Scout Troop 428 in Kansas City. Tim worked for the Associated Grocers and was a member of the Teamsters Union #955 for 21 years. Tim’s passion was the outdoors where he could be found hunting and fishing. He also shared many memories with his family working on their family farms in Benton County, MO. Tim loved his family and was proud to share stories and pictures.
Tim was preceded in death by his father on July 18, 2008; his paternal and maternal grandparents, Lowell and Letha Cobb; and Homer and Ruth Johnson.
Survivors include: his mother, Jan; two sons, Jeremy (Sarah) and Josh (Dominique); grandchildren, Gretchen, Grant, and Emilea; sisters, Kim Cobb and Stefanie (Sam) Gibbens; and nephew, James.
Visitation will be held at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th Street, Independence, MO from 6-8 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2013. Burial at Breshear’s Avery Cemetery in Wheatland, MO on Sunday, July 14, at 11:00 am.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Alpha-1 Association, Kansas City Hospice, or Breshear’s Avery Perpetual Care Fund.
