Jackie Lee Cocherell, 76 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away, Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Maywood Terrace Living Center. Cremation is planned with a memorial Mass for Jackie and his wife Marcella who preceded him in death April 27th, 2013. The mass will be held at 6:00 PM, Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Bernadette Parish, 9020 E 51 Terrace, Kansas City, MO 64133. Jackie was born September 15, 1941 in Ottumwa, IA to Lawrence E. and Zella (Parker) Cocherell. He grew up in Ottumwa and graduated from Ottumwa High School before moving to Kansas City, MO in 1963. He worked for over 26 years as an officer for the KCPD before he retired in 1994. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Bernadette Parish. Survivors include; 3 daughters, LeAnn Petty of Liberty, MO, Teri Baker and husband Brett of Lee’s Summit, MO, and Janice Cocherell of Kansas City, MO; a son, Edward Cocherell and wife Holly of Greenwood, MO; 2 grandsons, 7 granddaughters and 2 great grandsons.
