MARJORIE ANNA COCHRAN
Marjorie Cochran, 95, of Blue Springs, MO passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2017. A visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00am on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E. 39th St, Independence, MO, 64055. A service will follow at 10:00am at the chapel.
Marjorie was born on January 12, 1922 in New Trenton, IN to John and Edith Sintz. Right after high school she began nurses training at the Independence Sanitarium, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1945. On December 21, 1946 she married the love of her life, Richard Cochran. Together they had two daughters, Diane and Jacqueline. Throughout the years, Marjorie worked at various hospitals before retiring in 1983. She loved to travel, taking two trips to Haiti with her church. She loved gardening although it wasn’t her best skill. Marjorie also really enjoyed reading and spending time with the dogs.
Left behind to carry on her legacy are her daughters Diane Dickson of the San Francisco area, CA, Jackie Bell of Blue Springs, MO; brother Ed Sintz of Charlotte, NC; sister Norma Byrn of Independence, MO; grandchildren Kristina Taylor (Les), Matthew Dickson (Ashley), Sarah Gustafson (Fletcher); great-grandchildren TJ Taylor (Maranda), Jacque Taylor, and Henry Gustafson.
She was preceded in death by her sister Thelma Sintz, husband Richard, and her beloved dog Bentley.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Outreach International.
