Teresa Suzanne “Terri” Coffey, 55, Independence, MO passed away Oct. 1, 2014. Memorial services will be 2 pm, Wed., Oct. 8 at Speaks Suburban Chapel; cremation. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday at the chapel. Terri was born April 3, 1959 in Kansas City, KS and graduated from Van Horn High School in the Class of 1977. She worked in Security for the Jackson County Courthouse Annex for eleven years after spending twenty-two years at Southwestern Bell. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Independence. She enjoyed making jewelry, the outdoors and collecting Native American dolls but most important to her was her son, Joe. She was known for her smile and infectious laughter. Terri was preceded in death by her father William J. Cantwell and brother James Leo Cantwell. She is survived by her son, Joe Coffey, Independence, MO; mother Kaye Cantwell; brother Bill Cantwell, both of Odessa, MO; sister Tami Schallenberg and husband Tony, Blue Springs, MO; nieces Alyssa & Sidney Schallenberg; aunt Gayle Schumacher, Lake Ozark, MO; cousins, many other family members and friends..
