Yukiko Coffey, 75, of Independence, MO, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at the Medical Center of Independence after a courageous five month fight with failing health. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Kidder Cemetery in Kidder, MO. Visitation will be 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2005 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Yukiko was born February 4, 1930 in Hakata, Japan. She worked in the garment industry for 28 years and enjoyed reading and tending to her flowers in her spare time. Yukiko is survived by her husband of 48 years, Paul Coffey of the home. Also surviving in Japan are four sisters Fumiko Uchiyama and Yoko Umeno of Fukuoka, Kinko Tagomori of Kobe and Taeko Shimizu of Urawaku; sister-in-law Virginia O�Farrell of Independence, MO.
