Helen Louise Coleman (Weiner)

Helen Louise Coleman, 104, of Independence, MO passed away January 6, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be from 6-8pm, Monday, January 11, 2016 at Carson-Speaks Chapel. Helen was born on November 20, 1911 in Philadelphia, PA to Harry and Anna (Hagley) Weiner. She moved to the Independence area in 1982 to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Helen was a very strong, independent, and self sufficient women, who devoted her life to her family. She enjoyed going to the gambling boat and playing the penny slot machines with her grandson-in-law. Helen is survived by; granddaughter Cindi Donohue and her husband Fred, half brother Bob Weiner, great granddaughters Crystal Frederick, Kelli Donohue, and Ashley Donohue, and 2 great great grandchildren, Nathan and Broden Frederick. She is preceded in death by; her parents, husband John Coleman, daughter Helen Coleman Walker, sister Madalyn; brother, Harry Weiner; and half brother Russ Weiner.
