Judith (Judy) Lee Comstock, 78 passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 surrounded by her family. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the chapel. Donations may be made in her name to KC Hospice, Ararat Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund or to the American Heart Association. Judy was a dedicated real estate professional for over 40 years serving in the industry in many capacities, chairing committees and serving on the Board of directors at the local and state levels. She received many recognitions such as 1995 Realtor of the Year in Kansas City, 1995 WCR Member of the year, 1987 Metro Kansas City Salesperson of the year, 1986 State of Missouri Salesperson of the year, 1982 Eastern Jackson County Salesperson of the year, 2004 Women’s Council of Realtor’ Broker of the year. She served as the Women’s Council of Realtors President in 1983 and 1988. She became a broker and took great pride in helping new agents learn and grow to be successful. After receiving a multitude of recognitions throughout her career for salesmanship, she was presented the KCRAR Show Me Region Pioneer of real Estate Award in 2011. She was active in the Independence Young Matrons and served as President for two years. She is survived by: her husband of 58 years, Robert L. Comstock; daughters, Wendy Comstock, Angie Comstock; granddaughter, Amanda Comstock; daughter-in-law, Dee Comstock; brothers, Jim Faulkner (Kathryn), John Faulkner (Candace) and Cherri Brown (Rory) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sons, Kurtis Comstock and Christopher Comstock. Above all her professional accomplishments, her family was her greatest pride and joy and were the lights of her life.
