BETTY LOU CONRAD
Betty Lou Conrad, 83 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away Tuesday. October 16, 2018 at Village House Hospice. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 22, 2018 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial will follow in Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m., until service time Monday at the chapel. Donations may be made to ALS Association, Keith Worthington Chapter. Betty was born May 15, 1935 in Leeton, MO to Walter Franklin and Gladys Maude (Reed) Ross. She worked for Commerce Bank and Trust for over 25 years until she retired in 1997 as vice president. She enjoyed word puzzles, sailing, cooking, history and genealogy and was an avid sports fan of the KC Chiefs, Royals and KU basketball. She was a member of the Woods Chapel United Methodist Church, the GG group and the Chiefs Club. She was married to Ronald Conrad who preceded her in death in 1996. She later married Wayne Nyberg who also preceded her in death in 2015. Survivors include; a step daughter, Lisa Nyberg of Eugene, OR; a niece, Debbie Meisner of Minnesota and a sister-in-law Jewel Ross of Minnesota. She was preceded in death by a brother Don Ross.
