Beverly Ann Constance, 78, Independence, Mo., died July 1, 2006 at The Groves in Independence. She was born May 1, 1928, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Edgar A. and Naomi Keown Hull.
Mrs. Constance was a lifelong member of the Community of Christ, served on its World Church Council of Women, as a board member and secretary of the church�s Restoration Trial Foundation, and for the past 43 years had been an active member of the Ridgewood Congregation of the church. She was an honorary alumna of Graceland University, served as a board member and secretary of the Independence Sanitarium & Hospital, and as a board member of the Truman Neurological Center.
She is survived by Byron Constance, her husband of 55 years; sons Brent H. Constance and wife Diane and Bradley A. Constance and wife Larna; grandchildren Heather M. Peckham, Thad A. Constance, John C. Constance, and Keith B. Constance, all of Independence; a sister, Patricia Eisler, Blue Springs, Mo.; numerous nieces and nephews and many cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother Robert G. Hull.
A memorial service, followed by visitation, will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2006, at 7 p.m. at the Community of Christ Ridgewood congregation, 4341 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. 64133. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to The Beverly Constance Memorial Fund at the church.
