Richard Donald Conway, 85, of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away on September 12, 2014. He was born in La Crosse, Wisconsin in 1929 where he lived and raised his family until relocating in 1969 to Independence, Missouri.
Cremation is planned with a private celebration of his life to be held by the immediate family at a later date.
Richard worked in management at Allis Chalmers in La Crosse, Wisconsin and Deutz Allis -Agco in Independence, Missouri where he started his career as a high school intern and through his dedication, retired from the same company 46 years later. He was an active outdoors person, successful fisherman, and patient hunter. He spent his retirement years meticulously attending his home, lawn and gardens. He was active in the American Legion and Elks Club in Blue Springs, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his son David Conway.
He is survived locally by his children Richard Conway, Jr. and wife Elaine, Barbara Gnazzo and Michelle Conway; his grandchildren Jason Conway, David Conway, Amy Coney and Matthew Gnazzo; his great-grandchildren Amanda Coney, Robert Wharton, Malia Marek and Killian Conway; and his younger brother James Conway of Ohio.
