Catherine Griffle Coogan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on October 14, 2005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Monday, October 17th at St. Mary�s Catholic Church; with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm Sunday at Carson-Speaks Chapel (1501 W. Lexington Ave. Indep. MO) with the Rosary to follow. The family requests no flowers, and suggest donations to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Catherine was born on July 24, 1916 in Dover, MO and was married to Walter Griffle until his death in 1972. She married Frank Coogan in 1978. Catherine, during her life worked at the North American Bomber Plant, Westinghouse Electric, Internal Revenue Service, and was an active volunteer at the Harry S. Truman Library. Her passions were her family, her garden, traveling, quilting, and playing bridge. She is survived by her husband Frank; children, Robert Griffle and wife Deborah of Lee�s Summit, MO, Betty Owen and husband Henry of Edina, MN, Marilyn Hennis of Independence, MO; step daughter, Mary Ann Quick of Gladstone, MO; ten grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
