Roy D. Cook, Jr., 83, of Kingsville, MO passed away Sunday, December 3, 2006 at Independence Regional Health Center. Memorial Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Cremation. Memorial contributions may be made the American Heart Association. Roy was born May 19, 1923 in Missouri City, MO to Roy D. and Esther B. (Reed) Cook, Sr. He loved to tell a good story and was a jokester. Roy loved his family dearly. Mr. Cook enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching John Wayne movies in his spare time. Roy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary M. (Cool) Cook of the home; daughters Christine Cook, Rhonda Cook, Shirley Smith, JoAnn Cook; sons Carl and Joseph Cook; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brother James Cook. He was preceded in death by his daughter Esther, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
