Wilma was born February 3, 1935 in Montrose, MO the daughter of William and Edna Morris. She graduated from Montrose High School in 1952 and married Ralph M. Cook on October 2, 1954. They moved to Kansas City and spent the last 38 years at their current residence in Independence. Their 49 years of marriage provided a foundation of Love for their four children and twelve grandchildren to build upon. Wilma spent her life nurturing her childrens growth and happiness, and in turn, filled the role of grandmother with the same passion. Her life was filled with two generations of school programs, recitals and ballgames, always thee to inspire her children and grandchildren. It was with her love and hard work, that holidays, which we all cherished, were filled with tradition and joy. Words cannot express the love and devotion the she gave to her family. We can only pray that she found solace in the outpouring of love from her family and friends in her final days. Mother you were the sun, which filled our lives with warmth and hope, now we must bear the darkness of your passing Wilma was preceded in death by her mother and father, Wilma and Edna Morris and her brothers Russell and Ralph. She is survived by her husband Ralph, her four children, Denise Ann Cook-Clampert, Lisa Gail Huber, Gary Martin Cook and Brian David Cook; her twelve grandchildren, Ian, Andrea, Eric, Matthew, Chelsea, Dana, Nicole, Mallory, Andrew, Kirsten, Gwyneth and Gillian; her sisters, Eileen Pippin and Toni Starks and brother Lane. Our mother spent the last 18 months bravely battling lung cancer; we pray that she has finally found peace at Gods side.
