Anna C. Cooper, 91, of Independence died June 30, 2006 at St. Mary�s Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence from 6-8 pm. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary�s Cemetery in Kansas City. Mrs. Cooper was born on October 16, 1914 the daughter of Steve and Annie (Gorsick) Dendish in Kansas City, Kansas. She worked as a Seamstress in the Garment Industry for many years. She enjoyed playing Bingo, sewing and making doll clothes and going to Las Vegas. She was a member of St. Ann�s Parish. Anna married Walter Cooper who preceded her in death in 1963. She is survived by a son, Eugene Cooper, two daughters, JoAnn Smith and Arline Ivy and her husband Francis all of Independence; nine grandchildren, Matthew Cooper, Laura Greeson, Geanna Gettys, Diane Smith, Linda Kennedy, Rhonda McFadden, Debra Klophenstein, Lisa Keltner and Michael Ivy, fourteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
