Anna C. Cooper, 91, of Independence died June 30, 2006 at St. Mary�s Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at Carson-Speaks Chapel in Independence from 6-8 pm. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary�s Cemetery in Kansas City. Mrs. Cooper was born on October 16, 1914 the daughter of Steve and Annie (Gorsick) Dendish in Kansas City, Kansas. She worked as a Seamstress in the Garment Industry for many years. She enjoyed playing Bingo, sewing and making doll clothes and going to Las Vegas. She was a member of St. Ann�s Parish. Anna married Walter Cooper who preceded her in death in 1963. She is survived by a son, Eugene Cooper, two daughters, JoAnn Smith and Arline Ivy and her husband Francis all of Independence; nine grandchildren, Matthew Cooper, Laura Greeson, Geanna Gettys, Diane Smith, Linda Kennedy, Rhonda McFadden, Debra Klophenstein, Lisa Keltner and Michael Ivy, fourteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann�s Parish, 10109 E. Lexington, Independence, Mo. 64053. Online condolences to www.speakschapel.com. Carson-Speaks Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
