Eugene Lee Cooper

Eugene L. Cooper, 70 of Independence passed away Tue., Mar 27, 2007. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Sat. Mar. 31, 2007 at St. Ann�s Catholic Church 10113 E. Lexington Ave., Indep. MO. Entombment will be in the Mt. Olivet Mausoleum. Mr. Cooper was born on Jan 19, 1937 in Independence, MO. He was a retired data programmer with the Army Corps of Engineers, the US Department of Agriculture and the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Gene was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed supporting his children and grandchildren in all their activities. He was a very devout Catholic who supported many Catholic charities. Gene was a four year Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda Cooper and his parents, Walter and Anna Cooper and is survived by his son, Matthew Cooper; daughter Geanna Gettys, her husband Matthew and their daughters, Georgia and Annabelle; daughter Laura Greeson, her husband Rick and their children Lisa, Jasper and Walter. Two sisters, JoAnn Smith and Arline Ivy.
