Linda Catherine Cooper (Link)

Linda Cathrine Cooper, 75 of independence Mo passed away May 9th, 2023. She was 75 years old.

Linda was born on November 4, 1947 to Howard and Marceline (Bloom) Link in Independence, Missouri. She attended St. Mary’s and graduated from Truman School. In 1966, she met and married the love of her life, Roger Cooper. From their union came three children; Amy, Chris, and Carrie. Linda managed the accounting department at Montgomery Ward for about 25 years before transitioning into a position at Homeland Security. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, loving on and spoiling her wire fox terrier, pulling weeds out of her flowerbed, and playing a mean game of backyard volleyball where the competition was fierce, and participation was non-negotiable. Linda was a firecracker who loved to be the boss. Her orneriness and fun-loving spirit will be so dearly missed.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; Howard and Marceline (Bloom) Link. She is survived by her siblings; Sandra Ross, Jimmy Link, and John Link, her children; Amy Cooper Belcher and husband Tommy Belcher, Chris Cooper, spouse Melissa Cooper and sister wife Jana Cooper, and Carrie Cooper and significant other Wesley Mace, grandchildren; Matt Cooper, Michelle Cooper, Travis Highley, Devin Peel, Kristen Cooper, Dylan Rackley, Gabby Cooper, Nick Peel, Brooklyn Cooper, and six great-grandchildren.

Family will greet friends and family at Speaks Suburban Chapel (18020 E 39th St. Independence, MO 64055) from 11am-1pm on Saturday, May 13th.
