Mae Cooper Piland

Mae Marie Cooper Piland, 88, of Blue Springs, MO, passed away Friday, November 09, 2007 at St. Joseph Medical Center. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 12, 2007 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00 p.m. Burial in New Salem Cemetery. Mae was born May 1, 1919 in Boswell, AR to John Wesley and Minnie Ada (Banning) Vest. She married H. Lowell Cooper on January 12, 1937. They were blessed with four children. Mae is survived by her children, Retha Blankenship and husband Wayne, Doyle Cooper and wife Nancy, R. L. Cooper; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother Thurl Vest; sister Lorene Gillihan. She was preceded in death by her son Billy Wayne Cooper in 2001; grandsons Craig Blankenship, Michael Cooper and Ricky Cooper.
