Rodney Cooper, 58, Sibley, MO passed away Thursday, December 13, 2007 at St. Luke’s Hospital. A visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM, Monday, Dec. 17 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th Street, Indep., and services will begin at 7:00 PM. Cremation to follow services.
Rodney was born October 21, 1949 to Leroy and Barbara (Guion) Cooper in St. Louis, MO. After attending David Rankin Trade School, he worked as a journeyman machinist at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. Rodney enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching movies, and spending time visiting with family and friends. His great sense of humor, kind heart, big laugh, and ability to fix anything (including cherry cobbler) will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
In addition to his parents, Rodney is survived by two daughters: Sarah Castillo and husband Steven, and Rebecca Cooper; two grandsons, Alejandro and Mateo; grandmother, Irene Cooper; two brothers, Richard Cooper and wife Cheri, and Michael Cooper and wife Linny; great aunt, Hazel Reeder; and numerous nieces and nephews.
