Hubert Donald “Hugh” Corder, 89, passed away on November 21, 2014, in KCMO.
A service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at 10:00am, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Indep., MO 64055. Entombment will follow with full military honors at Mound Grove Cemetery. The family will greet friends Monday evening from 6-8:00pm at the chapel.
Hugh was born on February 14, 1925, in Humansville, MO, to Earl J. and Etta M. Corder. He retired from the IRS after 35 years of service. He attended Community of Christ East 39th Street for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Loretta (Maxine); two children he claimed as his own, Linda Bishop and her husband, Sam; Steve Myers and his fiancée, Susan Palmer; two sisters, Mary Kay Goresh and Evelyn Jackson; 6 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggest donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of choice in Hugh’s memory.
