Barbara A. Courtney

Barbara A. Courtney, 53, of Independence, MO passed away on February 3, 2006 at Research Medical Center. A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 10, at the Carson Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington, Indep., MO. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the chapel. Barbara was born on September 23, 1952 in Independence, MO to Charles and Irene Guthrie. Everyone who met Barbara loved her, because of her giving personality, which she shared with all. She was a fighter who loved life and never gave up, no matter what problem lay ahead. She will be dearly missed. Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Cassie Ashley and Rickie Martell; one brother, Charles H. Guthrie, Jr.; and three loving grandchildren, Alexandra, Austin and Taylor.
