Beaulah Mae Covington, 78, of Sugar Creek, MO passed away Saturday, December 19, 2015. A memorial service will be held in her honor at a later time.
Mae was born September 1, 1937 in Independence, MO as the only child to Kathryn (Reavis) and Ralph E. Johnson. She graduated from Northeast High School class of 1955. She then worked for the Kansas City Star before meeting her beloved David Alan Covington. They married April 4, 1959 and together raised two children. They members of Mt. Washington Baptist church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School, participating in youth clubs, singing in choir, and being together with friends in fellowship. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved to paint, go camping, and fishing, and spending time with their “Bo-Ski-Club” consisting of family friends at the lake. Her family remembers her good sense of humor, her gift of gab passed down to her beloved daughter, and her love. Mae will be missed by her husband, David; son, David Alan Covigton II (Rindi); daughter Christine Jarman (Gregory) all of Independence, MO; grandchildren, David Brett and Jason Bradley Covington; Elizabeth Pensick and Bruce Jarman; stepgrandchildren, Jeremy B.
