Ena E. "Susie" Cox

Ena E. "Susie� Cox, 75, of Independence, MO, passed away, Saturday, October 4, 2003 at Carmel Hills Living Center. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 9, 2003 at Mt. Washington Forever Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the George C. Carson & Sons Funeral Home. Susie was born August 28, 1928 in Hamilton, MO to Marvin Grafton and Mamie Florence (Gulley) Kelley. She grew up in Hamilton and graduated high school there. She worked as a bank clerk for UMB, Commerce Trust, Federal Reserve and First National of Independence for over 32 years before she retired. She was married to Wayne "Walter� Cox, who preceded her in death. Survivors include; a son and daughter-in-law Randy and Iris Thompson of Independence, MO; a brother, J.B. Kelley of Independence, MO; 2 grandchildren, Scott Thompson and his wife Jessica and Julie Davis and her husband Kevin, and a great grandson Davidlee P. Davis.
