Geraldine M. Cox

Geraldine M. "Deanie� Cox, 78, of Independence, MO passed away, Sunday, October 23, 2005 at Medical Center of Independence. The family will have a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the Carson-Speaks Chapel with cremation to follow. Deanie was born October 15, 1927 in Independence, MO to Richard and Grace (Lobdell) Irving. She was a lifelong resident of Independence, graduating from William Chrisman High School in 1945. She had worked for Southwestern Bell as a plant assigner for 39 years until she retired in 1985. She was a member of the St. Mary�s Catholic Church and the Telephone Pioneers Club. Survivors include; a son, Richard Cox and his wife Chris of Independence, MO; a sister, Bessie Moore of Independence; 4 grandchildren, Troy Allen Cox, Darren Michael Cox, David Emerson Cox and Trever Eugene Cox; 2 great grandchildren, Dakota Michael Cox and Cheyenne Lynn Cox; a niece Sandra Moore of Independence, several other nieces and nephews and her dog Bandit. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Sisters of St. Francis.
