Lloyd R. Cox

Lloyd R. Cox, 101, of Kansas City, MO, formerly of Taft, CA passed away Monday, March 28th at Truman Medical Center Lakewood. Memorial Services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, April 1st at TMC Lakewood, 3N Dining Room. Interment in West Side District Cemetery in Taft, CA. Lloyd was born February 13, 1904 in Pottawotama County, OK to John Henry and Laura Fronie (Maples) Cox. He worked as a mechanic for Standard Oil Company for 33 years. Lloyd was known in Taft where he walked 5 miles a day until the age of 97. Mr. Cox is survived by his granddaughter Margaret James (Grant) and grandson Mike Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by son Ernie Cox.
