Marion Ester Cox, of Independence, Missouri, passed away surrounded by loved her ones Monday, July 25, 2022. She was 81 years of age.
Marion was born on April 23, 1941, in Reger, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Wilma (Middaugh) Rardon. She was one of five children. Marion attended Van Horn Highschool and on September 13, 1958, married the love of her life Charles “Norman” Cox.
Often referred to as Penguin, Nana, and Mom; Marion was her happiest when surrounded by her family. She enjoyed seafood boils and meals with her loved ones, soap operas, Nintendo and had a sweet tooth. She loved her family and friends with all her heart, and she will be deeply missed.
Marion is survived by her husband of nearly 64 years, Charles “Norman” Cox; her children, Denise (John) Denham, Darrel (Jessica Jacobs) Cox; 9 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; siblings, Eva (Jim) Burson, Birdie Breeden; Jan (Andy) Guzman; many extended family and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Wilma Rardon; and her brother Darrel Rardon.
Cremation is planed with a private family service at a later date.
