Richard Eugene Cox, 67, Independence, MO passed away Friday, November 28, 2014. Richard was born February. 21, 1947 in Independence., MO the son of Theodore McKinney and Geraldine (Irving) Cox. He graduated from William Chrisman in 1965. Richard was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked as a design draftsman for various companies and retired from GE. Richard enjoyed working on his ’79 Trans Am, collecting trains, fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Christine; sons, Troy, Darren (Jennifer), David, and Trever Cox; grandchildren, Dakota, Cheyenne, and Savanah Cox. A memorial visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Carson-Speaks Chapel; 1501 W. Lexington Ave., Independence, MO 64052.
