Timothy "Tim� A. Cox, 49, Independence, MO. passed away Jan. 14, 2006. Services will be 10 am, Wed., Jan. 18, 2006 at the Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 19800 E. Truman Rd., Indep., MO.; interment at Glenridge Cemetery, Liberty, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 pm, Tuesday, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Tim was born Sept. 15, 1956, in Independence, MO. His family moved to Nevada, MO. and later to Chillicothe, MO where he graduated from high school in 1974. He earned two degrees from Truman State University (formerly Northeast Mo. State) and completed coursework requirements and research for his Masters thesis in History. Tim was a Senior Contract Analyst for Assurant Benefits for twenty-two years. He was a Civil War history enthusiast and presented educational programs portraying George Caleb Bingham. He was the President of the C.W.R.T. of Western Missouri. He was also a member of the church. Tim is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kay (Edwards) Cox; daughter Sara Cox; sons Tyler and Andrew Cox, all of the home; parents Marion A. "Bud� & Virginia Cox, Independence, MO; brother Terry Cox and wife Angela, Springfield, MO; one niece and three nephews.
