Dean Cox, 74, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away January 29, 2014. Services will be Saturday, February 1,10:00 am at the Carson-Speaks Chapel, with the visitation prior to the service, beginning at 9:00 am. Burial will be in Mount Washington Cemetery. Dean owned and operated his own construction and drywall business in the area for many years. He was a loving and warm family man, and nothing gave him greater pleasure than being surrounded by his family. Dean was a member of the Plaza Heights Baptist Church of Blue Springs. Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 44 years, Carmen. Other survivors include his children: Carla Graham of Grain Valley, Kevin Cox of Lee’s Summit, Elizabeth Huff of Oak Grove, Scott Cox of Oak Grove, Christina Cox-Allman of Lee’s Summit, and Matthew Cox of Omaha, NE. Other survivor’s include; his brothers, Don, Robert, and Lynn, 16 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Dean is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Gabrielle Morejon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to thePlaza Heights Baptist Church, 1500 SW Clark Rd, Blue Springs, MO 64015, in Dean’s name.
